How to claim for airtel secure online

NOTE: This is not official airtel secure website. This is a personal website to help people who want to claim airtel secure. 

The procedure

1) Go to Airtel self-care login page

2) If you already have an account then you can login using your email id and password else you can click on send OTP and can use that OTP to login

3) After logging in you will be sent to Account overview page. There on the left side, you can click on your prepaid/postpaid account.

4) Then you will be sent on your mobile number account page. There you can click on the Device tab to access airtel secure .

5) There you can continue to claim your damage.

  1. Photo of the back side of the phone
  2. Photo of damage
  3. Photo of the phone with IMEI displayed on it using *#06#
  4. In case of iPhone, you will have to disable find my iPhone and then take the photo of your phone.
  5. You will have to upload the original seller stamped bill photo in case you purchased it offline or you can download receipt if you bought the phone online.
  6. And then you will need one photo id proof such as pan card
  7. You will also have to describe the incidents here.

6) After submitting all the documents online. You will receive a call from airtel secure. Pick up will be scheduled from your home.

7) Pick up guy will pick the phone from your address and will also give you a receipt in return as the proof that you have given the phone to repair.

8) Then the claim process starts. If all is well and the damage claim in accepted then you will receive the repaired mobile and if the amount for repair is less than your sum insured then you will only have to pay 10% of the cost.

Below is some overview on how the process is moved from the various step. As you can see in the image below my claim was rejected in the end. However, it took them 10 days to decide that my claim was rejected.

  2. I am having a Redmi Note 4 bought 11 months ago. Recently I have changed my plan to 499 but I am unable to activate Airtel Secure as it is showing that it is not available on your device. I want to replace my mobile’s damaged screen. Please suggest what to do.

    I do have airtel secure activated and its not yet been 2 days since the damage, I was walking out of the elevator when someone pushed me from behind, that’s when the phone slipped out of my hand and fell. It has a case on but still the screen cracked, Do you think this will be covered ?

    1. You will be eligible for a claim after 15 days of activation of your membership.

      You can file the claim within 48hrs of discovering the damage by logging on to http://www.airtel.in.

      In case you are not able to file the claim, please call Airtel Customer Care at 121 within 48 hours to intimate else the same will not be admissible by the Insurance Partner.

  5. my service request no # XXXXXXX for my handset device claim. I submitted all my documents before 7 days under telephonic guide airtel secure. after all confirmation with airtel secure customer there are nothing pending. but till date no update. yesterday i received email from airtel secure your document is still pending .. i am very shocked !!!
    what is this ??? when i called on 121 they have no answer, i email on 121@in.airtel.com but no reply …

  6. i have dupicate(first copy screen) on my phone which got broken unluckily and i have subscribed to this plan months ago… if i send it to airtel secure would it pass the test ? i mean.. do you think the claim would be approved ??

  7. My phone screen has got crashed. Is it required to subscribe for this service before and than its got active? Or it is active by default. I do not see any details to claim damage when I login to my airtel from browser.

  8. From bike I have slipped my phone and it’s fully damaged how can I take a snap of I’m number from mobile when my display is completely damaged ..please get to me soon as all my office data is in mobile

      You can raise a claim claiming display damage.
      Airtle people will just ask you to take a snap of Handset device box, where IMEI is printed.
      But be careful while claiming & raise claim seeing all terms & conditions

    My phone came in contact with water. At first nothing odd was happening but next day morning the speakers are not working and the home button is not clicking. Due to overheating, I switched off my phone, and it has not been able to switch it on since then.
    Can I get a claim for this incident?

      1. My no. Is XXXXXXXXXX and when I tried to take the claim. They are saying that that is your mistake that the phone got damaged. So I accidentally dropped the phone from my pocket and screen got broke down. Now the Airtel is playing same. Customer care is not responding properly. I will port all my 10 numbers to Vodafone now

      2. Well my first claim was rejected as well saying it was wishful negligence from my side (my phone slipped from my hand) . But you cannot do anything about it. It is written in their terms and conditions which I missed as well.

    1. Mayank , my first claim was rejected and I thought the same. But my second claim got accepted as I had valid reason for claim. So that changed my view.

      Can you share your reason for claim rejection ?

  13. I have kept my phone in car and while putting brake, the phone slipped from stand. Logged in Airtel secure but rejected due to reason Negligence.

    Insurance companies like Airtel secure must change their name to Airtel insecure now.

    Not a valid reason to reject.

    My phone slipped down & had a screen damage and phone got hangup(unable to switch on).
    This happened in last week.

    Can I claim now saying the phone got damaged now.
    If it can, will there any chance to reject my claim saying I’m not using the particular mobile for past one week

    1. For a successful claim

      1) Your sim should be in the phone when the accident happened
      2) Slipping through hand is wishful negligence hence this reason will get your claim rejected
      3) And your claim should be within 48 hours of damage

        When I’m having my dinner at restaurant, a kid ran and slipped on me and phone got slipped.
        It happened a week ago & I am on tour at that time.
        Now I’m came from tour and want to raise a claim.
        Unfortunately I’m using the Sim on another mobile from past one week after the phone damage, as its not switching on.
        So can I claim now, saying it happened today morning.
        Can network provider will come to know I’m using different mobile???

      2. Thank to Airtel, I got my phone replaced, Even though i claimed after 2 months of damage due to my work pressure.
        They hardly took 12 days for replacement & replacement cost is ₹.47097 in which I paid ₹.4709 only.
        And biggest thing is I got a brand new IPhone X
